How to bid

Welcome to McAfee Auctions Online auction site, an exciting new in house initiative helping you acquire art from the comfort of your home. In addition the art may be viewed in our art room at 51 Main Street, Ballymoney.

Buying Online

To bid or buy online, you need firstly to register your name and address, simply click on ‘Registration’, enter your details and you are ready to go.

Sale Times

Regular sales of art will take place throughout the year, and each sale will have a designated start and end date. Most sales will run for 6 - 10 days, and each lot will finish at a designated time, normally at 40 second intervals.

What Do I Bid

Each lot will have a minimum bidding figure and bids will increase at recognised increments as follows

£0 - £160 by £10

£160 - £500 by £20

£500 - £1000 by £50

£1000 plus by £100

If Successful

Payment: All lots are subject to an auctioneer’s commission of 15% plus vat. So if you acquire a painting online at say £200, your total bill would be £236.

Some lots may be subject to ‘Artists Resale Rights’, and where this is applicable we have indicated so with an * adjacent to the description, any such lots will carry a 4% ‘Artists Resale Rights’ charge.

Payment should be made as soon as possible after the sale, and can be made by cash, cheque or credit or debit card. Collections can be made from the day following the sale, and arrangements can be made for delivery to anywhere in the world.
